The Morris Family Justice Center, launched in early 2016, has secured commitment from a number of community stakeholders including county government, law enforcement, social service agencies, legal services, and the courts.  The initial startup of the project is being funded by the Office on Violence Against Women and The Provident Bank Foundation. Additionally, the County of Morris has agreed to provide rent-and utility-free space in which to operate the program in its Administration and Records Building in Morristown.

Our work continues. With the ongoing support of our community, the MFJC mission will consistently offer hope for the future to anyone who walks through the door.

JBWS is serving as the lead administrative organization for the Morris Family Justice Center, providing operational and grants management. JBWS is now inviting you to join us in firmly establishing the Morris Family Justice Center by offering private financial commitments to this effort.

With the full support of the JBWS Board of Directors, JBWS is undertaking its first philanthropic campaign in 15 years. Over the past five months, under the leadership of Campaign Co-Chairs Patti Lee, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Office of Diversity, Wyndham, and Jim Gerace, Chief Communications Officer of Verizon, the $1 million campaign has realized $742,000 from individuals and private foundations.

“This campaign is about responding to our community, giving those who are fleeing from domestic violence a promise of security, and offering survivors one place where they can tell their stories to one person, at one time, and know that they will be heard.” – Patti Lee

Over the next five years, an investment of $1 million is required to sustain the Center and provide operational support, including counseling and client services reflective of the needs of our community.
