JBWS IS GETTING A NEW LOOK
Posted on February 21, 2019 at 5:22 pmJBWS, lead agency for the Morris Family Justice Center, is getting a new look! These are exciting times for JBWS and the domestic violence movement. More than 40 years ago, JBWS was founded as Jersey Battered Women’s Service. However, today, the agency has outgrown its name and will do business only as JBWS. This change recognizes that 1) victims are not only “battered” but suffer from verbal, emotional abuse, and more and 2) men can be victims of abuse and benefit from the services of JBWS.
JBWS welcomes All survivors of abuse regardless of severity of the abuse, marital status, income, gender identity or sexual orientation. With support from Marketsmith Inc., the name change and new logo reflect the input from survivor and key stakeholder surveys. JBWS looks forward to updating its website and marketing materials in the coming months.
